A former NASA engineer Kickstarts “LowLine,” an underground park in an abandoned subway stop on Delancey Street in New York’s Lower East Side.
The New York High Line has inspired urban planners around the world to refashion unused infrastructure into green parks. Now they try to also do this with infrastructure that is still used. If it becomes successful, it would be the most massive project ever begun by the crowd-funding website.
