London Underground: a rich history and a London symbol
The London Underground, also called “the Tube” by Londoners, is the oldest underground railway in the world, having opened back in 1863. Transporting over a billion passengers each year, which makes it the 11th busiest on earth, the trains sometimes are overpacked and it may end up as on the picture! But don’t worry, as all this history lead the Tube to become a fast and efficient transport in London.
