The Tower Bridge is one of London’s iconic symbols. It officially opened on June 30, 1894 and it still stands today as the most essential crossing for people over the Thames River. If you are visiting London this summer, the bridge offers a walkway that showcases an exhibition of how and why the Bridge was built. Looking from all angles, this bridge is a beautiful sight in the London city.

Until late 2010, Canary Wharf’s One Canada Square was the tallest building in the UK thanks to its 770ft, until the Shard Building in Central London took the title. Said to have been inspired by New York’s World Financial Center and the iconic Big Ben, it inherited a triangular roof to single it out from the other buildings. It mainly houses offices for the area’s bustling financial hub, with a 100% filling being quite common for this prestigious location.

Do not be fooled by its looks that won many international architecture prizes. Although affectionately nicknamed the “Gherkin” due to its oval shape, this tower called 30 St Mary Axe is an actual skyscraper of London’s financial district.
